I have a Masters in Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta and a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have been officially trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children with Problem Sexual Behavior, and EMDR. I am seeking national certification in both TF-CBT and EMDR. I am passionate about stopping the abuse of children and helping children overcome the effects of abuse. I am also excited about helping people gain mastery of their traumas.
I believe that past hurts can overwhelm a person so that he or she cannot function as he or she was created to. I believe that all people are valuable and that all people have a purpose. I believe my job is to empower people to live their best lives and to fulfill their purposes. I provide my clients with tangible skills that they can use to manage their lives. I help clients achieve their goals. I empower people to be the best they can be.
Christi Feeney is an attorney, parent and community member. After practicing law as a litigator for fifteen years in Texas, Tennessee and Georgia, Christi took a “sabbatical” from her practice to spend time with her family and raise a young daughter. After a number of years and many volunteer projects with her local public school system and other Non-Profits, as well projects with various small businesses, Christi decided not to return to the practice of law, but to focus on what she loves to do: organize and manage information for people who run businesses they believe in.
More than two decades of work, for businesses, non-profits and legal clients, have taught Christi that what she loves, and what she is best at, is organizing details and data. She loves to be the detail person behind the primary business owner, to assist them in doing what they do best, while she does the rest.
