MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST - LCSW - MPH

I have a Masters in Public Health from Emory University in Atlanta and a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.  I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW).  I have been officially trained in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children with Problem Sexual Behavior, and EMDR.  I am seeking national certification in both TF-CBT and EMDR. I am passionate about stopping the abuse of children and helping children overcome the effects of abuse. I am also excited about helping people gain mastery of their traumas.

I believe that past hurts can overwhelm a person so that he or she cannot function as he or she was created to.  I believe that all people are valuable and that all people have a purpose.  I believe my job is to empower people to live their best lives and to fulfill their purposes. I provide my clients with tangible skills that they can use to manage their lives.  I help clients achieve their goals.  I empower people to be the best they can be.

Britton Stockdale

LMSW

Hello! I’m Britton Stockdale, a therapist specializing in trauma-informed care and childhood trauma. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work from Union University, and as an LMSW, my mission is to help individuals heal and build resilience in a safe, supportive environment.
With extensive experience working with both children and adults, I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and move forward in their lives. I am committed to creating a client-centered space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful change.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy CrossFit and spending quality time with my daughter and husband. I believe in the power of balance and bring that philosophy into my work, supporting clients as they find their own path to well-being.
